Research Groups

ICGEB currently comprises a total of 56 Research Groups across its three Components in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi India and Cape Town, South Africa. Macroareas of expertise cover:

- Biotechnology (2 labs in Trieste and 2 in Delhi),
- Immunology (2 labs in Trieste and 1 in Delhi),
- Biomedicine (involving 8 labs in Trieste and 2 in Cape Town),
- Infectious Diseases (2 labs in Trieste, 2 in Delhi and 2 in Cape Town),
- Computational Biology (2 labs in Trieste and 1 in Delhi), and
- Plant Biotechnology (3 labs in Delhi).
