ICGEB receives 3 million euro funding for Biosimilars facility from Region

Prof. Mauro Giacca, together with the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Deborah Serracchiani, recently announced that funding for 3 million euro had been granted to ICGEB to strengthen its Biosimilars Facility in Trieste. The ICGEB aims to equip a state-of-the-art laboratory able to provide international certification for industries for the production of pharmaceuticals derived from biological processes, no longer under patent.

The Biosimilars Facility is poised to launch tailor-made projects in biosimilar production in Africa and elsewhere throughout its Member State constituency of over 64 nations.
