ICGEB Meetings in Costa Rica and Turkey - this week

Monday 12th December 2016 marked the opening of the fifth ICGEB Workshop on Human RNA Viruses at the University of Costa Rica in San José.

The Workshop is dedicated to bridging the gap between recent advances in biochemistry and molecular biology of human RNA viruses and the needs of those most affected by these viral diseases in ICGEB Member countries.

The workshop is organised by ICGEB Group Leaders Alessandro Marcello and Oscar Burrone and takes place every two years in different ICGEB Member States to facilitate local participation. This year approximately 70 participants from most countries of Latin America have gathered in San José to attend the event hosted by José Alberto Bonilla, CIBCM, at the University of Costa Rica.
