- At the 18th session of the Board of Governors (16-18 November 2012), the request for Membership from the Governments of Ethiopia and Montenegro were accepted, bringing the total number of ICGEB Signatory Countries to 85.

- The Government of Kenya has deposited the instrument of accession to the ICGEB Statutes with the Secretary-General of the United Nations in July 2010 and has become the 61st Member State of ICGEB on 29 August 2010.
